At Glitter Trench, we want you to love your purchase! Each item is hand-crafted with care and pride in quality. This policy outlines your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and our policies for refunds and returns.
Please note: You are responsible for reading the product descriptions and viewing all images before making a purchase. As our items are handmade, minor variations are a natural part of the process.
1. Consumer Guarantees (Faulty or Not as Described Items)
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy (replacement, repair, or refund) if your product is faulty, is not fit for its intended purpose, or does not match the description or sample provided.
Minor Problem
If your item has a minor fault (one that can be easily fixed), we will choose to either repair the item or provide a replacement.
Major Problem
You are entitled to a full refund or replacement if there is a major problem with your item. A major problem includes when the item:
- Has a problem that would have stopped you from buying it if you had known about it.
- Is unsafe.
- Is significantly different from the description or sample.
- Is substantially unfit for its common purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
How to lodge a claim for a faulty item:
- Please contact us at info@glittertrench.com within 14 days of receiving your order.
- Provide your order number, a detailed description of the fault, and clear photographs showing the issue.
- If we confirm a fault, we will provide instructions for returning the item.
- Return shipping costs: If the item is confirmed to have a fault, we will reimburse you for the reasonable return shipping costs. Please keep your postage receipt.
2. Hygiene Exclusion (Change of Mind)
Due to hygiene reasons, and in line with standard industry practices for earrings, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, or if you simply decide you do not like the product after receiving it.
This includes issues such as:
- Changed your mind about the style, colour, or size.
- Found the item cheaper elsewhere.
- The item was worn or damaged by you.
- The problem was made known to you before purchase (e.g., if it was listed as a ‘second’ or ‘sample’).
3. Processing and Refunds
- Proof of Purchase: All returns must be accompanied by proof of purchase (e.g., your order number or a receipt).
- Processing Time: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the outcome.
- Refund Method: Approved refunds will be processed back to your original method of payment within 15 business days.
4. Important Notes
- Handmade Nature: Due to the nature of our handmade products, slight variations in colour, pattern, or size are not considered faults.
- Wear and Tear: This policy does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, or normal wear and tear over time.
- Incorrect Address: We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses.
